Forklift Air Filter Assembly Selection

Forklift Air Filter Assembly Selection

Choose the housing and its service elements as a documented combination. Airflow, restriction, sealing and outlet orientation matter alongside the element dimensions.

Air-filter element reference 1351230500, not a complete air-cleaner housing. Match the element and housing separately.

One element, two elements and two-stage cleaning are different descriptions

A single-element arrangement has a main filter without a safety element. A dual-element arrangement includes a main and a safety filter designed for that housing. “Two-stage” can instead describe a pre-cleaner followed by the main filter; it does not automatically mean two replaceable elements.

Manufacturer housing-to-element examples — not forklift fitment
Donaldson FPG housing Primary element Safety-element status Selection boundary
G042544 / G042545 P822686 P535396 is designed to fit but not shipped as standard in the cited catalog Adding it reduces maximum airflow; recalculate with the intended configuration
G057511 / G057512 P821575 P822858 is supplied in the cited catalog configuration Keep the exact housing version and outlet direction
G057513 / G057514 P821575 P822858 is a designed optional element, not originally supplied Same primary element does not make the housing configuration identical

Compare the complete air-cleaner installation

An assembly request starts with the housing identity and the engine’s airflow and restriction requirement; an element request starts with the element reference and its housing relationship. Dimensions, seals, inlet/outlet direction and mounting then narrow the physical match. Close the order only against the confirmed housing and main/safety-element configuration, including whether an inner element is specified, rather than adding one because it appears to fit.

Air-cleaner assembly selection map
Field What to record Why it matters
Airflow and restriction Engine airflow requirement and permitted restriction; housing performance curve Account for ducting, elbows and pre-cleaners, not only the element
Housing dimensions Body diameter, overall length and service-removal clearance The housing must fit and remain serviceable
Inlet and outlet Diameters, direction, straight/elbow form and sealing connection A similar cylindrical body may have a different installation
Elements Main/safety references, OD, ID, height and seal profile Dimensions support identification but do not replace the housing application
Mounting Band/bracket position, spacing and orientation Confirm the supported mounting arrangement
Dust valve and indicator Valve type/orientation; indicator connection and setting Use the housing/engine specification; no universal restriction setting

H24C1-00211 identifies an assembly, not its unseen contents

The accompanying label reads H24C1-00211 and identifies an air-filter assembly. The housing and service-cover latches are visible. The picture does not reveal the element numbers, airflow rating or dimensions.

H24C1-00211 assembly reference. Internal element numbers and application remain to confirm; it is not identified as one of the Donaldson examples above. The source photograph cuts off part of the top edge; request a complete housing and port view for interface confirmation. View full photo

A safety element needs its own confirmed housing relationship

0830-G00 is separately identified as a secondary air filter element. Its presence here illustrates the service-item category; there is no confirmed pairing with H24C1-00211 or the Donaldson housings in the table. Never add an inner element simply because it appears to fit.

Start with whichever label you have

  • For a complete assembly, send the housing label and installed inlet/outlet views.
  • For a replacement element, send its number and both sealing ends; include the housing number if known.
  • If the number is unreadable, provide dimensions with units and an overall photo. A photo-only inquiry is welcome, but it does not automatically confirm compatibility.

Ask about the part you need

A part number is optional. Start with the information you have.
