Forklift load and drive wheels: dimensions, hub and tread material
Compare wheel position, diameter, width, bore, bearing and hub before choosing the tread material for the truck and floor conditions.

AMB155-321001-000 load-wheel reference labeled OD 80 × width 64 mm; not a drive wheel or mast roller.
Identify the wheel position and assembly scope
| Wheel type | Information to distinguish it | Selection boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Load wheel or load roller | Single/tandem position, OD, tread width, bearing bore and spacer arrangement | Wheel only, bearings included and complete bracket assembly are different items |
| Drive wheel | Drive-unit reference, hub, bolt circle, center bore or keyway, offset and tread | Motor/reduction-unit connection must match; diameter is not enough |
| Caster wheel or complete caster | Wheel size, swivel/rigid arrangement, mounting plate and installed height | A loose wheel does not include the complete caster mechanism |
| Stabilizer wheel | Position, mounting/adjustment arrangement and complete assembly reference | Do not substitute a load wheel solely because dimensions are similar |
What a real load-wheel label can confirm
The supplied reference image identifies AMB155-321001-000 and states a wheel-body size of 80 × 64. The diameter symbol on the packaging supports an 80 mm outside diameter and 64 mm width for this reference.
The image does not establish the bore, bearing code, hub details, polyurethane compound or load rating. The separate number AMB155-321000-000 identifies an assembly reference in the existing catalog and must not be silently substituted for the wheel-body number.
Label-supported reference: AMB155-321001-000, OD 80 mm × width 64 mm. Bearing, bore, compound, load rating and truck fit remain to confirm. View full photo
Tread names describe different material choices
After identifying the wheel position and whether the request is for a loose wheel or an assembly, compare the dimensions, bearing/drive interface and tread specification. The final order check uses the exact part drawing and the truck’s actual load, speed and floor conditions, with bearing or assembly inclusion stated separately. Measurements from a worn wheel are evidence to reconcile, not a substitute for the nominal specification.
RÄDER-VOGEL distinguishes VULKOLLAN, PEVODYN and PEVOPUR materials in its manufacturer range. Its VULKOLLAN example is listed at 93 Shore A; this value must not be transferred to an unmarked orange or yellow Authpart wheel.
Choose a compound against load, speed, duty cycle, floor condition, temperature, moisture and any documented conductivity requirement. Color, the word PU and outside dimensions do not identify a compound.
| Selection area | Record or request | What remains to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensions | OD, tread width, total hub width, bore, offset and units | Nominal dimensions and tolerances against the exact part drawing |
| Bearing and drive interface | Bearing code, axle/spacer details, hub bolts or keyway | Bearing inclusion and compatibility with the installed drive or axle |
| Material | Markings and the exact named compound if known | Hardness, tread specification and required operating conditions |
| Application | Truck model/serial, wheel position, carried load, travel speed and floor | Complete wheel load/duty rating, not the truck capacity divided by wheel count |
A second reference is not an interchangeable wheel
Reference 5101332001 is visibly identified as a load wheel in the supplied order photograph. No dimensional table or material declaration accompanies that photograph, so it should be compared by its own part reference and truck evidence.
If the old wheel is worn or damaged, send the markings and installation details along with measured values. Report those values as measurements of the removed part rather than assumed factory dimensions.
