Forklift Steering Knuckle Identification: Side, Kingpin and Hub Interfaces
Identify the steering knuckle as a separate part from the kingpin, hub and steering link. The axle version, left or right side and machined interfaces matter more than the truck’s capacity class.
Name the component before comparing a number
A Hangcha CPCD120-XXW96 service-manual example treats the knuckle, kingpin, bearing interfaces and steering-arm taper as separate items to check. That is useful evidence for separating the parts in a request; it does not provide a cross-reference to the HELI-labelled references below.

Keep hub and knuckle identity separate
A hub number can help narrow the mating-parts investigation, but it cannot replace the axle or knuckle reference. Send the bearing numbers and a view of the exposed spindle only if those details are already safely accessible.

Record dimensions with a clear reference point

A kingpin label is useful; packaging does not show its geometry
Use the existing kingpin page when that is the part required. For a knuckle request, retain the kingpin code as related evidence and add the knuckle casting/part number, side and axle identity. Do not assume all similarly sized HELI or Hangcha steering parts form one interchangeable set.

When the knuckle number is missing
Send an overall axle photograph, the installed side, readable casting marks and close-ups of the hub, kingpin area and steering-arm connection. Add any existing bearing numbers or workshop drawing. We can review the evidence to identify candidates; final selection still requires confirmation of the axle version and interfaces.
Steering looseness by itself does not identify a replacement knuckle. Ask a qualified service provider to identify the affected component. This reference is for parts identification, not disassembly instructions or wear-limit approval.
