Forklift Hydraulic Pump Selection Guide
Read the pump order code together with its displacement, rotation and drive interface. “Main pump” or “steering pump” describes a circuit function, not a complete replacement specification.
Single and multi-section pumps

A drive gear is a related part—not the pump
1G2906NF00 is a hydraulic-pump drive gear reference. It illustrates a separate drive component, not the housing, ports or displacement of a complete pump.

Rotation must include the viewing direction
Record the arrow and manufacturer’s convention, commonly viewed from the drive-shaft end. A clockwise arrow seen from the opposite end reverses the description. Do not infer rotation from the orientation of a product photograph.
Displacement, rotational speed, flow and pressure are separate quantities. Housing size cannot supply a missing cc/rev value. Matching nominal flow does not establish shaft, pressure or circuit compatibility.
Before ordering
- Full pump label/order code, truck identity and engine or motor identity.
- Installed view, shaft-end view, every inlet/outlet and the rotation arrow.
- Shaft and spline/keyway dimensions, pilot diameter, mounting-hole pattern and total length.
- Port threads or flanges, sealing system and orientation for each section.
- Recorded displacement sequence and any existing documented pressure/flow readings. Do not open pressurized lines for inquiry photos.
